Don’t give up the fight…

Proverbs 18:21  (KJV)  “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
WIFI LOGO10

Sometime in this life, you have to be willing to roll up your sleeves, being NOT afraid to get dirty and fight against spiritual warfare..  I find letting go and letting God requires you to let your guard down and get loose for Jesus..  No one can be pretty all the time, especially when the Holy Spirit takes over.  I invite the Holy Spirit to take over and move self out of the way that he may be glorified and his will and God’s work can be done.. There’s no better feeling when the anointing falls upon you.  When you pray in the spiritual realm, and God’s anointing come in, things have to change for the better! You will see healing take place, and lives change, marriages being restored, children obeying their parents, financing increasing, etc..    All I’m trying to say is  there is POWER in the name of Jesus!  We are made perfect only through Christ..  His LOVE makes us all beautiful from the inside out.  That alone should give us every reason to want to serve God and his people.

No matter what it looks like, TRUST God!!!   It may seem an uphill battle, but hold on to God’s unchanging hand.  Believe me, I”m not advising anything that I’m not doing myself.  I stand before you as a witness knowing that God is able!  He is able to do anything but FAIL!

Do everything in LOVE…

WIFI LOGO10

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
Do everything in love.” ~1
Corinthians 16:13-14 (NIV)

Paul’s final words to Corinth:

This is Paul’s final words to Corinth after really disciplining them and straightening them out. These are great words for the church today to be on it’s guard because their have been many attackers against the church and they are in the church already. For us to stand firm against those that go against the Word of God or distort. To be courageous to stand up against them and be strong. But do everything in love. When we love we don’t do it for ourselves but for the sake of others.

Many in the church have been deceived just like the church in Corinth. Many have put their guard down and listen to teachings that talk about how this life is all about this life on earth and not the life in heaven. We like these teaching because we want the easy life now. We need to really start looking in the word to see what the preachers are saying is in the word or others that come in saying they have the truth. Be on guard and stand firm in the faith. be courageous and strong against the attack of the enemy. Do it all in love.

Give me discernment Lord to understand your word and to understand whether a teaching is from you or Satan. Help to stand up against the attacks in my life so as to not be deceived.

Donald Lawrence – Go Get Your Life Back
(feat. Ann Nesby)

Lyrics:

(Choir Verse)
Sometimes we win,
sometimes we lose,
Sometimes were hurt and abused,
That’s life, all a part of life

Seasons come,
Seasons go,
Yes we reap, what we sow,
That’s life, all a part of life

(Ann Nesby Lead)
Every painful moment that life sends to you,
God designed it just to bless you,
for these

(Choir) Trials come to make you strong

(Lead)
So every time the enemy tries to attack you,
Don’t let him, Don’t let him destroy you,
What was meant for your bad,
God has turned it around for your good

(Choir)
Go get your life back,
Go and get it,
Go get your life back,
Everything the enemy stole from you,
Your life back,
Go and get it,
Go get your life,
God said live,

(Choir Verse)
There ll be times,
We go astray,
There’ll be times we lose our way,
Thats life, all a part of life

Sometimes up,
Sometimes down,
Yes the lost can be found
That’s life, all a part of life
(back to Lead)

(Vamp)
Your life back,
Your life back,
Go and get it
Your life back,
Everything the enemy stole from you,
Your life back,
Go and get it,
Your Life,

God Says Live!!!!

Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV):It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3-22-23 his mercies never come to an end

“My current favorite song is:

Great Is Thy Faithfulness

;

“When I think about that song, I think about the things that I’ve  been through.  The mistakes that I’ve made, and the choices that I made that were all not good, and he was yet faithful!” ~Maurice Brown

Jeremiah 29:11 ESV “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

¯`✣¨¯`✣¨¯`✣¨¯`✣¨¯`✣¨¯`✣¨¯`✣¯`✣¨¯`✣¨¯`✣¨¯`

The above  says a mouthful and my testimony exactly…  Bro. Maurice could not have said it better!

Even when we  did not want to live right, God was right there waiting patiently for us to come unto him… “God is faithful even when we are not…  When I think about the things I’ve been through, and the choices I’ve made that were all not so good, God he was yet faithful to me and right there!”  I thank God that we serve a merciful God!  As we use to sing years ago:  “Get right church and let’s go home!”

1 Corinthians 10:13  “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

The Lord is My Rock

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

The Lord is My Rock

Psalm 18:1-2
1 For the choir director. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said, “I love You, O LORD, my strength.”

2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 3  I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.…

Luke 1:69
He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David.

Exodus 15:2
“The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

Exodus 33:21
Then the LORD said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.

Deuteronomy 32:18
You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth.

Psalm 18:31
For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?

Psalm 18:46
The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock!  Exalted be God my Savior!

Psalm 19:1
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

I Go To The Rock

Where do I go when there’s nobody else to turn to?
Who do I talk to when nobody wants to listen?
Who do I lean on when there’s no foundation stable?

I go to the rock
I know He’s able
I go to the rock

The Lord is the rock I go to the rock for my salvation
I go to the stone that the builders rejected
I run to the mountain and the mountain, he stands by me

When the Earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ, the solid rock I stand
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend
I go to the rock

Where do I go, where do I go
When the storms of life are threatening?
Who do I turn to when those winds of sorrows blow?
And is there a refuge in the time of tribulation?

I go to the rock
I know He’s able
I go to the rock

The Lord is a rock for my salvation
The Lord is the stone that the builders rejected
I run to the mountain and the mountain, he stands by me

When the Earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ, the solid rock I stand
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend
I go to the rock

The Lord is a rock for my salvation
The Lord is the stone that the builders rejected
I run to the mountain and the mountain, he stands by me

When the Earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ, the solid rock I stand
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend
I go to the rock

I go to the rock
I go to the rock
I go to the rock

You can go to the rock
You can go to the rock
You can go to the rock
You can go to the rock

I go to the rock
I go to the rock
I go to the rock
I go to the rock

I go to the rock
I go to the rock
I go to the rock
I go to the rock

When the Earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ, the solid rock I stand
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend
I go to the rock

For such a time as this!

WIFI LOGO10

“If I perish, let me perish… I’m going to see the King!”

Esther 4:13-17  (NIV)

13 he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

15 Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: 16 “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

17 So Mordecai went away and carried out all of Esther’s instructions.

This is instructive for us for we too have been placed in God given situations for a purpose.

We all  get a choice to rise up to the situation in faith or sit back in fear and remain silent. Will we obey the voice of God and speak and act for His glory or remain mute and motionless hoping that no one will notice? If God is calling you to something and you remain silent, God will find another way, but you will miss out on how God wanted to use you for His purpose and lose the reward that would have been yours.  Who knows, that could have been your time?  You could have been positioned by God for that very purpose for such a time as this!  “Stay in position!”

What is required? – “If I perish, I perish”

Esther 4:15-17  Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai:    Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.   So Mordecai went away and carried out all of Esther’s instructions.

Finally Esther begins to see the depth of the problem and the need to follow Mordecai’s instructions no matter what the cost, and it could potentially cost her. We shouldn’t underestimate the step that Esther took here, and so it isn’t surprising that all the Jews in Susa are asked to fast for three days concerning Esther’s next move.  At the end of that time, Esther will do something that was not lawful to do (even for the Queen!) – She will go before the King unannounced. If all goes well, he will extend the golden sceptre to her and she will find favour in his sight. If it did not turn out the way she expected, she will die. It is a huge step of faith on her part!  “If I perish, I perish” are the words on her lips as she takes each step of the journey.

What does all this mean for us? Well, Jesus said that “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.” Your ‘cross’, that Jesus asked you to take up, is the place in your life where the will of God and your will,  shall cross. That is, where the two wills are in opposition to each other! This was how it was for Esther as her will initially was opposed to the instruction of  Mordecai.  That is how it is often for us. So what is required?  As shown by Esther, we too must deny our will and obey God’s call.  Has God been asking something of you lately? Have you obeyed? Can you learn from Esther in this regard who initially dug her feet  in but died to her own will so that the plans and purpose of God could be activated through her? I think we all can.

Thanksgiving for the LORD’s Salvation

Psalms 118

The Psalms 118

1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

4 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.

6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.

11 They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

12 They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns:
for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.

14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous:
the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

18 The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:

20 this gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

22 The stone which the builders refused is become the headstone of the corner.

23 This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD:  we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

27 God is the LORD, which hath showed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
