Sermon Title: “I’m Dealing With Twice as Much!” Dr. Jamal H. Bryant
Scripture Reading:Acts 12:5-7 (NIV) 5 So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. 6 The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. 7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.
“I’m Dealing With Twice as Much!”
Dr. Jamal H. Bryant – I’m Dealing with more than the average person…
Highlight Verse 6.. The night before his trial is suppose to begin -Pastor Said don’t get up!!!!
There are some scriptures in Romans that let us know that we are more than conquers… Whatever your issue and prayer concerns are: “He’s already done it!”

When you are anointed, you have to deal with twice as much… Just to wrap your mind around realty and say “I’m a conquer” is significant… To say “I’m more than a conquer,” is saying that I’ve had to deal and fight with more… My infraction is physical and emotional.. If I’m not careful, I won’t even realize that it’s attached to my Kingdom assignment..
A lot of us have undocumented Bipolar behavior… It can lead to many things such as julted careers, – It cause one to become easily irrated… A state of confusion, anger and feeling trapped… Dr. Michael Says when it’s not documented.. The greater danger is when someone has bi-polar disorder and can function and are productive being depressed.. As a consequence… Their body is at war and they have waved the white flag… They have arrived at work happy, by noon they are angry… They want to be prayed for, but Don’t want to be toched… They are dealing with twice as much… Rather than being bombarded with any questions, you become dosile…. You don’t even want to talk about because you are up against twice as much…
85% of preachers are bi-vocational… Preachers sometimes have to do other means to survivie… Work a job and follow their call…. There are 7.2 million Americans working 2 jobs just to maintain a living… Not to support a lifestyle… To keep lights on and maintain the rent… They have a current stream of income, but they have – You have to run faster, or be left behind… People don’t understand why you are always tired and have lost your zeal…. You have to work twice as hard with two jobs.. You don’t know if you can provide for your children… You have to work twice as hard… You don’t whether you are wearing bifocals – they are used for Asigmastisma… It hards to see that God’s hands is at work when so many people’s hands are reaching toward you…
It’s twice as hard to see it when so many people have broke promises to you..
King Herod had been persecuting the church… New oil always intimidates an old regime… People that are stuck in an old culture are always threatened by people that are stuck in a status que… Herod has already killed James – He has new passions, new ideals… . King Herod said he was going to keep him locked up for 14 days….
Some people have made up in their mind that they cannot handle what’s going on the next 14 days… It’s the beginnig of the month, and I’m dealing with twice as much.. If the enemy gone take my house, take my car, garnish my wages… Stop calling me, and just do it…. I cannnot go through this another two weeks for you to just start the trial…
I want to argue that their are documented sites that have bipolar disorder… It’s possible that Peter is biopolar.. When Jesus was being arrested, Peter chopped off the soldier ear when Jesus was being arrested… We already know that he has problems with authority… The last time we seen Peter, he was fighting, but he slipped into a mood swing… Some people say nothing when it’s time for them to fight for themselves..
Peter is named the Bishop of the Church and he’s in jail, and there is no evidence in Acts chapter 12 of Peter ever praying.. .The text said that the church prayed.. .No where does it say Peter did… You can have an assignment and a position where you don’t feel like praying.. .You feel like your prayers feel like they will bring no fruit… He has a church that he is connnected to because he’s already prayed for us, let now pray for him..
Lay your hands on your neighbor shoulder… They may have hit a point where there is no used of praying.. .Someone is asking: why did they even come today…. The church prayed…. One or two things… What you are getting ready to pray: 1) Lord give them strength in it, 2) or give them the power to get out of it…
Prya out loud.. Lord give them strength while they are in it or give them power to get out of it…. It’s a simple prayer…. You can release their hand…. Somebody prayed that you can get strength for what you are in or give you power to get out of it… .
It’ means something to me that the church prayed for me… They said I was not going to be here today… My mind has been going back and forth.. But somebody prayed, Lord give me strenght…
Acts Chapter 12 – documented that Peter has documented bipolar disoreder… How do you sleep when something has taken the wind out of you… It’s eighter you sleep to much, or you don’t sleep at all…
When Peter was on the ship, he said “Jesus does though care if we perish?” I feel like I’m preaching to a small remninent of people… “Jesus can I just get a little bit of sleep?” Nothing would happen, but something started happening in the middle of the night.. There is no reason for me to be up because my God never sleeps or slumber…
He’s sleeping while the church is praying… It’s an insult to the injury… Peter knew when the little boy was sleeping next to the window, he fell out of it…
They bound Peter with two chains…. He is in jail behind a locked door… One chain is enough.. . Because Harod knows there is an assignment.. He cannot risk loosing him because he is anointinted … He’s dealing with twice as much… I’m trying to deal with my family and my health… I’m trying to deal with twice as much…
The text says the two chains are connected to two solilders.. Whenever you are anointed.. You have to watch who you are connected too… You have to be connected what you are connected too.. Every chain that is alive in your life… Every chain is connected to a person.. If you are depressed, there is a person somewhere involved… If you have hypertension, etc.. there is another person somewhere involved…
I’ve been trying to figure out why we have been crying out to God for a double portion, but nobody ever asked you why you wanted a double portion.. Every since Elisha was lifted up his hand asking for a double portion… The Lord alerted me that you need a double portion because you are anointed.. Whatever is trying to restrict you have to get off of you because I’m dealing with a double amount of stress..’
An angel appeared and tapped him on his side.. Elbow your neighbor at the risk of annoying your neighbor… He said two words “GET UP” .. The moment he got up, every chain fell off… If you stand right now, everything that’s been trying to manipulate you and your family is coming off of you…
Neighbor, I hope you can shout.. . If you shout, every body that has a manipulating demanding spirit over you will be released.. .I need you to release me from blood suckers, jealous family members, etc…. Old things have passed away and behold all things have become new..
Neighbor since you have been through twice as much, you are about to receive a blessing pressed down, shaken together… Twice as much…
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life… Twice as much… There won’t be room to receive.. your bank account – Twice as much… You are about to receive a blessing twice as much on your health condition…
You don’t know what just happened… You should feel 15 pound lighter because some stuff just fell off you.. Lay aside every weight that so easily beset you….
For every worshiper in the room that have been dealing with twice as much… He’s getting ready to open up a window from heaven and pour you out a blessing….
Open up your mouth and began to thank God like you are getting ready to receive twice as much… That’s what I’m believing God for… Twice as much… Don’t worry about these folks around you.. They don’t know what you’ve been dealing with… Twice as much..
I believe God for your anointing, and your future… He put two chains on him because he wanted to restrict him and immobilize him…
Any Believer that is not making moves is antithetical to the body of Christ… God never wants you to stay put… There should be an area in your life where you can move…
Be careful who you are connected to because they can cause chains..
He are surrounded by 4 guards, but only 2 are connected… It seems like the people that are closest to you that will try an lock up your dreams because they are connected to chains..
God I pray you connect us to the right people… Not people that will hold us back but move us forward in Jesus Name….
New Oil always intimidate the old regime… . New members never leave the church because of other new member… New members leave the church because of old members negative spirit…
How many believe by faith that they have new oil on their life…
I need you to go talk to someone in the sanctuary that they are being connected to the right ministry and the right church.. Find out if they are saved, and have a church home?m I hope everybody is talking to somebody about their salvation…
We want them saved and free from Bipolar disorder…
It’s interesting to know that there are 50 billion people that live in poverty.. The wealthiest 25 people in the United states with a combined income can wipe out global poverty… Our mindset has got to shift… God gives us power to get wealth to invest into someone elses life.. He cannot give you twice as much when you are only giving or making half of what your potential earning power really is… There is so much more you could be making because you are only using 9% of your brain…Let’s wake up and use the other 91%… 3% of that is only used for past.. A closed mind is like a closed business.. You need to be in a position where you don’t have to work twice as hard… You can work smarter and not harder..
Your mind should be at rest knowing that God has you the rest of the week…
The people called a prayer meeting and prayed for Peter and he did not even know that they were praying for him..
You will never live in prosperity until you have lost everything… The average millionaire has filed bankruptcy at least 5 times.. When was the last time you gave all your resources to God? When was the last time you gave to God? If you freely give, it will freely be given back to you… I need you to double what you are giving God on today.. This is not a scheme or a gimmick… Jesus gave everything he had… He only had one child but he gave…
They day before Peter’s biggest trial something happened…….

Pray: “The Lord’s Prayer” Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours. Now and for ever. Amen.
