The late,  Pastor Thomas H. and Missionary Bobbie Lambert. Our late Pastor, and our First Lady of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Long Beach, California 🙌🏾

◄ 2 Corinthians 5:8 ► (KJV) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

Pastor Thomas H. and the Beautiful First Lady, Missionary Bobbie Lambert! This was the first Power Couple I ever met!! When it came to the Word of the Lord, his Family and the people of God, they took their job serious!! I LOVE them with all my heart! May God continue to bless his wife who is still on the battlefield for the Lord! May God rest Pastor Lambert’s soul!

Heaven gained a preaching machine up there, and left us all who knew him with the hope of doing good, so on that great day in Christ when that trumpet sounds, and the dead in Christ will rise, we will meet up with Pastor Lambert again and we shall embrace heaven and be reunited with all the people we miss and Love!

Remember though, we have to continue to live right if we want to see JESUS!

This is the ORIGINAL:  Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Long Beach, California that Pastor Thomas Lambert had built back in the 80’s after tearing down the little Morning Star B. C.  where the Late Rev. Thomas who was the Pastor before Pastor Thomas H. Lambert would revolutionize that entire block and make room for an experience of a lifetime that none of us who attended or were members would EVER forget!

Our fist Lady is yet alive and doing great things in ministry in Little Rock, Arkansas. You can contact her on Facebook, if you want to schedule her to speak at your church or Worship Experience and hear a relevant Word from the Lord.

Commentary

Matthew Henry Commentary

14:12-17 Whatever we ask in Christ’s name, that shall be for our good, and suitable to our state, he shall give it to us. To ask in Christ’s name, is to plead his merit and intercession, and to depend upon that plea. The gift of the Spirit is a fruit of Christ’s mediation, bought by his merit, and received by his intercession. The word used here, signifies an advocate, counsellor, monitor, and comforter. He would abide with the disciples to the end of time; his gifts and graces would encourage their hearts. The expressions used here and elsewhere, plainly denote a person, and the office itself includes all the Divine perfections. The gift of the Holy Ghost is bestowed upon the disciples of Christ, and not on the world. This is the favour God bears to his chosen. As the source of holiness and happiness, the Holy Spirit will abide with every believer for ever.

WHO IS THE CHURCH?

Put on the WHOLE ARMOR of GOD!

◄ 2 Corinthians 10:4 ►(KJV)
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;
◄ Ephesians 6:11 ►(NIV)

                         The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Psalm 23 (NIV)

A psalm of David.

“1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
This is the word of the Lord and it is blessed!

Proverbs 13 (NKJV)

Day 13 of theHealth Challenge

1) Drink one gallon of water a day.

2) Walk 30 minutes a day.

3) NO fried foods.

4) Read a Proverbs a day. Today, read chapter 13 which is enclosed in our blog post.

  • Proverbs 13

A wise son heeds his father’s instruction,

But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.

2 A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, But the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence.

3 He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.

4 The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

5 A righteous man hates lying, But a wicked man is loathsome and comes to shame.

6 Righteousness guards him whose way is blameless, But wickedness overthrows the sinner.

7 There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing; And one who makes himself poor, yet has great riches.

8 The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, But the poor does not hear rebuke.

9 The light of the righteous rejoices, But the lamp of the wicked will be put out.

10 By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom.

11 Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase.

12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.

13 He who despises the word will be destroyed, But he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.

14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.

15 Good understanding gains favor, But the way of the unfaithful is hard.

16 Every prudent man acts with knowledge, But a fool lays open his folly.

17 A wicked messenger falls into trouble, But a faithful ambassador brings health.

18 Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, But he who regards a rebuke will be honored.

19 A desire accomplished is sweet to the soul, But it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil.

20 He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.

21 Evil pursues sinners, But to the righteous, good shall be repaid.

22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

23 Much food is in the fallow ground of the poor,  And for lack of justice there is waste.

24 He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly.

25 The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul,  But the stomach of the wicked shall be in want.

 No more tit-for-tat stuff!

Matthew 5:42-48 (MSG)

42 No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously. 43 “You’re familiar with the old written law, ‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ 44 I’m challenging that. I’m telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, 45 for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best – the sun to warm and the rain to nourish – to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. 46 If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. 47 If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that. 48 “In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.

Matthew 5:42-48 MSG
This is the word of the Lord, and it is blessed!
