WTAL – 52 Days of Pecking Orders – Day 32 by Bishop T.D. Jakes

Blessings to each of you on this Thriving Thursday… I have enclosed day number 32 of  Pecking Orders Directly from Bishop T.D. Jakes...   #Forgiveness!   ~  Minister Evelyn

Bishop T.D. Jakes

WTAL – 52 Days of Pecking Orders – Day 32

Forgiving someone takes a considerable amount of COURAGE because it requires you to be a bigger person and let things go…something most of us don’t want to do. Grudges spread and invade our healthy emotions. Forgiveness conquers bitterness! Moving toward your goals will require you to be COURAGEOUS enough to release the bitterness you’ve held for so long. Remember to forgive as you want to be forgiven!

Bishop T.D. Jakes

Your Presence is Heaven to Me Israel Houghton

At Woman Thou Art Loosed, I preached a message titled “The Pecking Order”. If you missed it, get your hands on a copy or download the MP3 from our site. During the conference God also moved me to share one of my breakthrough scriptures — Luke 2:52 “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”For the next 52 Days, beginning tomorrow, we’re going to meet in the Spirit via social media. I’m going to be giving you “Pecking Orders” to help unlock FAVOR and POTENTIAL in your life and coach you into your destiny. Some of these orders will be spiritual…others will be natural, concerning issues like credit, debt, and leadership.

I’m challenging you to have 52 days of undistracted devotion with God. Get up early and give God the first fruits of your day. Have private devotion time. Meditate over Luke 2:52 and pray “Lord, Make me increase in wisdom and stature and favor…” Then, read your pecking orders for the day and believe God for a shift in your life. I want to pray for you as we embark on this journey!

Temporary Blindness

John 9:11 “He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”

Greetings to all of our World in Focus International (WIFI) Subscribers, visitors, family and friends welcome…

For the past two months, God has been dealing with me on temporary blindness…  It was not until I realized in the natural that I was experiencing periods of black outs, periods of time where I literally had no vision… There was minutes of my life that I could not see…  I began complaining several months ago to my physician and she put in a referral for me to go and see the Ophthalmologist for this condition I had been experiencing….

I learned on yesterday as I visited the Ophthalmologist,  that you can have 20/20 vision and still experience periods of blindness..  Hmmmm…  I was puzzled at first when he said, “Mam, you have 20/20 vision  but what you are experiencing is a fluctuation in your vision because there are  times that your sugar levels are much highter than others, which can cause periods of blindness..  There are periods where your sugars are normal and you can see perfectly fine…   It all started to make sense to me in natural realm, but is began to resignate more so in the spiritual realm…

I realized that even though we answered our call to God, and knowing beyond a doubt what God chose us to do, but there are times when we become full of ourselves and get to high for our own good, until God has to allow us to go through temporary blindness so we can allow God to wipe them scales from our eyes and see the vision plain, and see it  clear…  The book of Hakkuk in the 2nd chapter, it  says to write the vision and make it plain…

Don’t be blinded by the temporary things in life, but concretely know the plan and the vision that is written for your life…

Maybe, I’m not alone…    There may be  someone who is experiencing temporary blindness in their walk and relationship with God… I stop by to tell you that God NEVER changes… He is the same,  yesterday, today and forever more…  It’s us that sometimes change… Sometime for better, and for some of us for the worse….  Let  your temporary periods of blindness empower you to become better knowing that we serve a God that can and will perform great miracles in your life…   He is still performing miracles right today right before our eyes, you just can’t see it because sometimes we become out of focus with life with all the things that are going on around us…     I dare you to began to see God the way you saw him when you first got saved…  Let use this illustration…  When you first met  the man or woman of your dreams, it was pretty exciting , right?   Well, sometimes as relationships progress long term, we tend to become blinded and can no longer see what we use to see in that person that use to bring us so much joy…  There was a time when all you saw were the positives and the beauty they brought to your life…   We have to go back to those moments of excitement at take this things that once stimulated our minds to be better, to see better as we walk this Christian journey… Sometimes, we have to develop a better spiritual appetitie as in the natural to control temporary blindness, the doctor said, you have to develop a better appetite… You cannot put what you want in your mouth and think you will be able to see like everybody else…  Nope, it’s virtually impossible…   Even in the natural, you can’t allow people,  television, the media and our famiy members to feed junk to our spirts because that stuff will temporary blind you from the things God says you can have, and it yours…  Take it while you can see because if you ever walked in the shoes of a blind person, it don’t feel good…  Yes,  you can imagine in your mind what things look like if you had vision prior, but there is nothing like actually seeing things for yourself…

If this post blessed you on today, and you find yourself like me experiencing moments of temporary blindness… Change  your behavior and your lifestyle and allow God to direct your every  move..  Give your life to the Lord, it’s never to late as long as your still have breath in body…  Even if your vision seems though it’s no more…  God is able to restore your natural vision and your spiritual vision if we learn to develop the right appetite for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ….In the book of John the 14ath chapter and the 16th verse:  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Habakkuk 2 New King James Version (NKJV)

 I will stand my watch
And set myself on the rampart,
And watch to see what He will say to me,
And what I will answer when I am corrected. The Just Live by Faith Then the Lord answered me and said:“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry. “Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith.

John 9:1-12 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind

As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.  “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”  Some claimed that he was.

Others said, “No, he only looks like him.”

But he himself insisted, “I am the man.”

“How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.

He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”

“Where is this man?” they asked him.

“I don’t know,” he said.

Holiness

1 Peter 1:13-16
“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be ye sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.  As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lust in your ignorance: But be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye Holy; for I am holy.”

2 Peter 1:3-9: “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness.” (2 Peter 1:3).

As I awake on today, I can hear the late Isaiah Bishop’s voice so clearly as he taught so profoundly over the years on “Holiness…”  I will be celebrating my 46th birthday on this year, and I met him when I was 7-years-old, and he was preaching Holiness or hell way back then, and as I became an adult and began to walk on my own two feet, I understand more now that I’ve become a mature adult in Christ…  I did not say perfect, and I make no excuses for random things I might say or do…  Nevertheless, through Holiness, God is working on me and changing my life everyday so that I can become so close to God that I know  he is more than just a friend, he is my Father…..

I know it seems rare that anyone tackles this subject anymore… However, there is a need for this subject to be preached to dyeing world and a new generation that really don’t know that heaven and hell are both real.    I say that hoping that someone would take heed to know that we only get one life to live, and living it in holiness is the only way I know that fulfills every void….

What is holiness?   I”m glad you asked…

Ho·li·ness

The quality or state of  being holy;  sanctity.

holiness

The quality or state of being holy;  sanctity.

Holiness definition:  In the highest sense belongs to God (Isa. 6:3;Rev. 15:4), and to Christians as consecrated to God’s service, and in so far as they are conformed in all things to the will of God (Rom.6:19, 22; Eph. 1:4; Titus 1:8; 1 Pet. 1:15). Personal holiness is a work of gradualdevelopment. It is carried on under manyhindrances, hence the frequent admonitions to watchfulness, prayer, and perseverance (1 Cor.1:30; 2 Cor. 7:1; Eph. 4:23, 24). (SeeSANCTIFICATION.)

When we are born again by the Holy Spirit He, the Holy Spirit, begins to work in us the character of God. No, more than that! He plants in our spirits ‘the divine nature’ of God. We share in His divine nature. (2 Peter 1:3-4).

What is God’s nature? It is His righteousness, His holiness, His patience and comfort and strength. His nature is glorious and believers reflect it in the way they live (2 Cor 3:17-18).

How do we participate in these many aspects of God’s nature. Our fallen nature is exchanged for His nature. Under the Spirit’s direction and control, our fallen nature is reconstituted. Our nature takes on again the originalimage of God which was muddied and spoiled by sin. So Paul could say to the believers at Corinth, “you are new creations in Christ” (2 Cor 5:17).

Our journey through life gives God time and space to remake us “in His perfect image.”

David said, “He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters,” (Psalm 23:2-3). We feast on Him; we drink deeply of His divine nature and we take on the characteristics of our Father in heaven.

Those who drink alcoholic beverages take on the nature of the beverages they drink. Those who drink of the Spirit, take on the nature or fruit of the Holy Spirit “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.” (Gal 5:22-23).

Because our nature is changed to be like God’s nature, Jesus is not ashamed to call us brothers, saying, “Here am I, and the children God has given Me.” (Heb 2:11-13). The writer also said, “Both the One who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family” God’s family. Holiness is the hallmark of God’s family.

The Holy Spirit by His very presence and nature works holiness of life in the believer. If a man or woman does not have the Spirit, he or she is not a Christian (Rom 8:9). By the power of the indwelling Spirit, believers can live holy lives, according to the Scriptures.

From the beginning, God demanded holiness. Holiness equals righteousness. God said men of faith were righteous (Gen 15:6). They lived holy lives and they “walked with God.” (Gen 6:9). He demanded holiness in the days of Moses (Ex 19:6). And He demands holiness of life for all who would enter His Kingdom.

When God created Adam and Eve in His image and likeness, I believe He clothed them with His glory and holiness (Eph 4:24). When they rebelled and broke God’s command, that glory fell away and they saw themselves naked, and they were ashamed (Gen 3:7).

God cannot walk and talk with sinners, so He put Adam and Eve out of the garden. Only in Christ can we gain the holiness we lost and have God’s likeness fully restored in our lives.

The Risen Christ told the apostle John, “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may go through the gates into the (Holy) city. Outside are those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.” (Rev 22:15; 21:8). Because nothing impure will ever enter it (heaven), nor will anyone who is shameful or deceitful. (Rev 21:27).

sanctification / sanc·ti·fy

1. to make holy; set apart as sacred;consecrate.
2. to purify or free from sin: Sanctify your hearts.
3. to impart religious sanction to; render legitimate or binding: to sanctify a vow.
4. to entitle to reverence or respect.
5.to make productive of or conducive to spiritual blessing.

Grace, Peace through Jesus Christ –

Scripture:  II Corinthians I- 2 Corinthians 1  (NIV)

2 Corinthians 1

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

To the church of God in Corinth, together with all his holy people throughout Achaia:

2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise to the God of All Comfort

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters,[a] about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Paul’s Change of Plans

12 Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity[b] and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on God’s grace. 13 For we do not write you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that, 14 as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus.

15 Because I was confident of this, I wanted to visit you first so that you might benefit twice. 16 I wanted to visit you on my way to Macedonia and to come back to you from Macedonia, and then to have you send me on my way to Judea. 17 Was I fickle when I intended to do this? Or do I make my plans in a worldly manner so that in the same breath I say both “Yes, yes” and “No, no”?

18 But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.” 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me and Silas[c] and Timothy—was not “Yes” and “No,” but in him it has always been “Yes.” 20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

23 I call God as my witness—and I stake my life on it—that it was in order to spare you that I did not return to Corinth. 24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm.

He speaks about David:  David reassures him in his frail humanity… You recall he is wrestling with some issues… We all have sinned and come short of his glory…

“What is man, that though are mindful of him, and the son of that though visits him”

“God is a holy God” He is pure and righteous in all of his ways…  But David, has been included in the sacred texts… David gives him hope, because David messed up…  But God redeemed him… Most of us are intimately aware of makes us jacked up..

We all have sinned and fallen short of his glory… With your mouth you worship him, but with your deeds it tells a different story…Some of us don’t deserve to be sitting in a sanctuary of righteousness,  but thank God for his forgiveness.

God is a God of mercy that will give you another chance…  David said “Create in me a clean heart!”

Psalm 23 (NIV)

A psalm of David.

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters,

 3 he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right paths

   for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk

   through the darkest valley,[a]

I will fear no evil,

   for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,

   they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil;

   my cup overflows.

6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me

all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD

   forever.
