Hold onto God with everything that’s within you, and don’t let go!

1 Timothy 6:17-21  (NIV) – Build Your Hope On Things Eternal

17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, 21 which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith.

Grace be with you all.

Hold On To His Hand – Dorothy Norwood

Cleave unto the Lord your God!

Joshua 23:8-16 (NIV)

8 But you are to hold fast to the LORD your God, as you have until now. 9 “The LORD has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you. 10 One of you routs a thousand, because the LORD your God fights for you, just as he promised.  11 So be very careful to love the LORD your God. 12 “But if you turn away and ally yourselves with the survivors of these nations that remain among you and if you intermarry with them and associate with them, 13 then you may be sure that the LORD your God will no longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land, which the LORD your God has given you. 14 “Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the LORD your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.  15 But just as all the good things the LORD your God has promised you have come to you, so he will bring on you all the evil things he has threatened, until the LORD your God has destroyed you from this good land he has given you.  16 If you violate the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them, the LORD’s anger will burn against you, and you will quickly perish from the good land he has given you.”

Hold tight to God!

Joshua 23:8-16 (MSG) 8 Hold tight to God, your God, just as you’ve done up to now. 9God has driven out superpower nations before you. And up to now, no one has been able to stand up to you.10Think of it – one of you, single-handedly, putting a thousand on the run! Because God is God, your God. Because he fights for you, just as he promised you. 11“Now, vigilantly guard your souls: Love God, your God. 12 Because if you wander off and start taking up with these remaining nations still among you (intermarry, say, and have other dealings with them), 13know for certain that God, your God, will not get rid of these nations for you. They’ll be nothing but trouble to you – horsewhips on your backs and sand in your eyes – until you’re the ones who will be driven out of this good land that God, your God, has given you. 14“Asyou can see, I’m about to go the way we all end up going. Know this with all your heart, with everything in you, that not one detail has failed of all the good things God, your God, promised you. It has all happened. Nothing’s left undone – not so much as a word 15“But just as sure as everything good that God, your God, has promised has come true, so also God will bring to pass every bad thing until there’s nothing left of you in this good land that God has given you. 16 If you leave the path of the Covenant of God, your God, that he commanded you, go off and serve and worship other gods, God’s anger will blaze out against you. In no time at all there’ll be nothing left of you, no sign that you’ve ever been in this good land he gave you.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.11 Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. 12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. 13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”

WHERE IS THE LOVE?

John 3:16 (KJV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

It seems in this day and age we live in, we find people everywhere seeking for unconditional, genuine love. People want love, but most are unwilling or may I say incapable of really loving another human being the way they really want to be love. So, I pose the question on this 4th day of January, 2018: WHERE IS THE LOVE?

I’m glad you asked… Well, in the book of  John, the 3rd chapter and the 16th verse describes the greatest love of God when he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus that you and I may have the right to the tree of life. If that’s not love, then I don’t know what love is!  In today’s world, that would be asking way to much according to the standards that most of us live by. That would be considered ultra crazy love! You can barely ask someone for a piece a bread, let alone give their life for you. Aren’t you glad that we serve an exceptional God!

We all know that there are so many different types of love, but the love I want to focus on is God’s love. God’s love is patient, and God’s love is kind. God’s love is forgiving. God’s love is everlasting. God’s love is free. God’s love reciprocal.  God’s love is ever-present. God’s love is contagious. God’s love is everlasting! God’s love everything you and I need. I could go on forever about God’s love because I’m so grateful that he would think enough of you and I to die for us. We serve a loving and kind God!

When I think of all the love God pours into us,  all I can do is tell God THANK YOU! Thank you God for loving me! Thank you God for not giving up on me! Thank you God for saving me! Thank you God for looking after me when I couldn’t look after myself. Thank you God for being there for me when I felt all alone. Thank you God for providing for me and making a way out no way. Thank you God for taking care of my family and friends. Thank you God for healing and keeping me. Thank you God for listening to me! Thank you God for loving us unconditionally.  I see the love. I feel the love. I hear the love. I want God’s love.  We have to get to a point in life where we desire real love.  Most of us have a tendency to push real love away.

I am here to serve notice today and let you know that God is love! Everywhere you look you see the love!  Let’s learn to love one another and stop beating each other down with our  mean and nasty words and our intimidating ways.  It’s better when we learn to kill each other with our kindness and love. Yes, I couldn’t agree more that it’s hard to love people who you know do not love or care about you, but we must love them anyways because God has commanded us to! He didn’t command us to like their ways, but he did command us to love them because one of God’s greatest commandments is LOVE!

As I write on this morning, I’m reminded of this old secular song :  Where Is The Love?” song by the group, “The Black Eyed Peas”  This song really hits home in 2018: Where is the love? Listen to the words and you can agree and ask yourself today, where is the love?

KEEP GOING!

◄ Philippians 3:13 ► “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Blessings to each of our WIFI family, friends and subscribers!!! We are on day two on #2018, and I wanted to take the time to motivate and urge you to keep going and don’t look back at what would’ved, could’ved and should’ved!!!  We have today to keep going to work toward the goals and the results we want!!!

Day one was awesome at WIFI ministries, and we pray your day one was as blessed and excited as ours. Continue to pray, pursue, and progress in the things of God and the many of tasks that are put before you.  As we were in prayer this morning, I was reminded of  the Apostle Paul when he was physically locked up in prison writing  letters — He may have been locked up and not physically free, but he was free in his spirit which allowed his mind to be free and his heart to overflow with joy.  You see, they could up his physical body but they could not lock up his spirit and his creativity that was inside of his soul.  He was able to write the book of  Philippians, Philemon, and the book of Colossians  while being locked up in prison.

We must learn how to keep our minds and hearts free to continue to move forward in life.  No matter what is thrown at us or whatever comes our way,  if we TRUST in God and his most holy word, we will be able to stand and press our way through tough and difficult times!

Psalm 27:4 says: “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.” We must learn how to assemble ourselves and fill our soul with God’s word so we may be able to stand against the devil when he comes with his antics and tactics!

I pray this post has helped somebody to keep going, and press toward your mark and goals that you are trying to reach!

We love you all, and know that we are yet pressing our way on this second day of January, two-thousand-eighteen! #2018

We made it, and we are so excited that you did too! God has great and wonderful blessings in store for you! Keep your eyes on the prize and continue to pray, trust and believe that the loving God that we serve never fails and will come through!

Now, let’s set some goals if you haven’t already. It’s good to have a plan as we journey through life. Plan your future and set realistic goals that are attainable. It’s important that we start with our physical and mental health which is the first step to wealth and happiness.  It’s a fact that if you feel good, you are more apt to do good! Our job is to help you succeed, and we can continue to pray your strength in the Lord that everything you want comes to pass.  We believe at World In Focus International that  you must STAY CONNECTED TO GOD and your world will come into focus! Also, we must do as our key scripture has instructed above:  “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed!” ~ Proverbs 6:3

HELLO #2018

You made a way!

We should be grateful for the things we have and the people God has placed in our lives to love!  I am certain that the only reason why a Iot of us are still standing is because of the God that we serve, who has made a way! God has opened doors that were closed in our faces and he commanded blessings to be released that were held up from us for years. He calmed the waters, and he restored things in our lives that were lost. It’s not enough to ask God for material things when your life is not order, but it is in order to ask God to continue to restore and change our minds to think good and not evil, mend our broken hearts back together, restore families and do the miraculous like only God can do!

We are  certain that God has some great things in store for us! Keep the FAITH and BELIEVE always especially in 2018! God has showed up and showed out in most of our lives  and for that, I am truly grateful, happy, thankful, and overwhelmed by Jesus’s precious LOVE!

Keep going, and know that the God that we serve made a way for you and he will surely make  a way for me! There is no secret of what our God can do, what he’s done for others he can do the same thing for you!

Let’s continue to pray for those who are struggling with the trials of life and trying to find their way. Lend a helping hand and your prayers to someone in need and pray their strength in the Lord, and believe by faith that God can make a way for them just like he did it for you!

~ Evelyn Diane

Ezekiel 34:26-29  “I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of blessing. “Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit and the earth will yield its increase, and they will be secure on their land Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them. “They will no longer be a prey to the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not devour them; but they will live securely, and no one will make them afraid.  “I will establish for them a renowned planting place, and they will not again be victims of famine in the land, and they will not endure the insults of the nations anymore.

◄ 1 Corinthians 10:12 ►

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

10:6-14  Carnal desires gain strength by indulgence, therefore should be checked in their first rise. Let us fear the sins of Israel, if we would shun their plagues. And it is but just to fear, that such as tempt Christ, will be left by him in the power of the old serpent. Murmuring against God’s disposals and commands, greatly provokes him. Nothing in Scripture is written in vain; and it is our wisdom and duty to learn from it. Others have fallen, and so may we. The Christian’s security against sin is distrust of himself. God has not promised to keep us from falling, if we do not look to ourselves. To this word of caution, a word of comfort is added. Others have the like burdens, and the like temptations: what they bear up under, and break through, we may also. God is wise as well as faithful, and will make our burdens according to our strength. He knows what we can bear. He will make a way to escape; he will deliver either from the trial itself, or at least the mischief of it. We have full encouragement to flee from sin, and to be faithful to God. We cannot fall by temptation, if we cleave fast to him. Whether the world smiles or frowns, it is an enemy; but believers shall be strengthened to overcome it, with all its terrors and enticements. The fear of the Lord, put into their hearts, will be the great means of safety.

1 Corinthians 10:12 Commentaries

Matthew Henry’s Commentary

1 Corinthians 10:1

Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

10:1-5 To dissuade the Corinthians from communion with idolaters, and security in any sinful course, the apostle sets before them the example of the Jewish nation of old. They were, by a miracle, led through the Red Sea, where the pursuing Egyptians were drowned. It was to them a typical baptism. The manna on which they fed was a type of Christ crucified, the Bread which came down from heaven, which whoso eateth shall live for ever. Christ is the Rock on which the Christian church is built; and of the streams that issue therefrom, all believers drink, and are refreshed. It typified the sacred influences of the Holy Spirit, as given to believers through Christ. But let none presume upon their great privileges, or profession of the truth; these will not secure heavenly happiness.

1 Corinthians 10:2

And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

1 Corinthians 10:3

And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

1 Corinthians 10:4

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

1 Corinthians 10:5

But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

1 Corinthians 10:6

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

1 Corinthians 10:7

Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

1 Corinthians 10:8

Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

1 Corinthians 10:9

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

1 Corinthians 10:10

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

1 Corinthians 10:11

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

1 Corinthians 10:12

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:14

Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

1 Corinthians 10:15

I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

10:15-22 Did not the joining in the Lord’s supper show a profession of faith in Christ crucified, and of adoring gratitude to him for his salvation ? Christians, by this ordinance, and the faith therein professed, were united as the grains of wheat in one loaf of bread, or as the members in the human body, seeing they were all united to Christ, and had fellowship with him and one another. This is confirmed from the Jewish worship and customs in sacrifice. The apostle applies this to feasting with idolaters. Eating food as part of a heathen sacrifice, was worshipping the idol to whom it was made, and having fellowship or communion with it; just as he who eats the Lord’s supper, is accounted to partake in the Christian sacrifice, or as they who ate the Jewish sacrifices partook of what was offered on their altar. It was denying Christianity; for communion with Christ, and communion with devils, could never be had at once. If Christians venture into places, and join in sacrifices to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life, they will provoke God.

1 Corinthians 10:16

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

1 Corinthians 10:17

For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

1 Corinthians 10:18

Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

1 Corinthians 10:19

What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

1 Corinthians 10:20

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

1 Corinthians 10:21

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

1 Corinthians 10:22

Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

1 Corinthians 10:23

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

10:23-33 There were cases wherein Christians might eat what had been offered to idols, without sin. Such as when the flesh was sold in the market as common food, for the priest to whom it had been given. But a Christian must not merely consider what is lawful, but what is expedient, and to edify others. Christianity by no means forbids the common offices of kindness, or allows uncourteous behaviour to any, however they may differ from us in religious sentiments or practices. But this is not to be understood of religious festivals, partaking in idolatrous worship. According to this advice of the apostle, Christians should take care not to use their liberty to the hurt of others, or to their own reproach. In eating and drinking, and in all we do, we should aim at the glory of God, at pleasing and honouring him. This is the great end of all religion, and directs us where express rules are wanting. A holy, peaceable, and benevolent spirit, will disarm the greatest enemies.

1 Corinthians 10:24

Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth.

1 Corinthians 10:25

Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:

1 Corinthians 10:26

For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.

1 Corinthians 10:27

If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.

1 Corinthians 10:28

But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:

1 Corinthians 10:29

Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience?

1 Corinthians 10:30

For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

1 Corinthians 10:31

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:32

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

1 Corinthians 10:33

Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
